Then proceed to the imperial garden Summer Palace built for a summer retreat. Stroll along the placid Kunming Lake in the nice breezes, indulge in the beauty of verdant Longevity Hill and appreciate the exquisite carvings engraved on the Long Corridor.

Start your morning like the local Beijingers by visiting the Temple of Heaven where you are more than welcome to join them gathering here for morning exercises like Taichi, group dancing and shuttlecock. Then soak up the grand blue-tiled golden halls where the Emperors used to hold ceremonies to pray for good luck and harvest for the next coming year and be amazed by the mysteries of the religious constructions.

Afterwards, your guide and driver will escort you to the train station to travel to Zhengzhou. Upon arrival, meet your friendly guide and transfer  to your hotel in Dengfeng.

Temple of Heaven

This exciting day first starts with Shaolin Temple that offers a fantastic Kungfu Show except the ancient complex of halls in temple. Be amazed by the Shaolin monks' performance and then follow the Kungfu master to learn some classic movements in a Kungfu Class.

Afterwards, you will be escorted to Luoyang and check in hotel.

This morning, set out to visit the first Buddhism temple White Horse Temple with a history of over 1,900 years, treasuring the Buddha statues, Heavenly Gods as well as Arhats made in a rare and special way.

Then drive to Longmen Grottoes. Carved out of mountains facing a beautiful river, it unfolds the grandeur of Buddhist culture and stone sculpture with over 2,300 caves housing about 100,000 statues in different sizes as well as more than 2,800 precious inscriptions.

If you are lucky enough, you might be able to see some delicate newborns kept in the incubators (Mostly during August to October which is their reproduction period).

Then enjoy the bustling atmosphere in Jinli Old Street and be dazzled by various local snacks and exquisite folk handicrafts along the way.

Move to Wangjiang Park and join the friendly locals to relax in the unique Chengdu way. Stop for a cup of tea in the outdoor tea house, an ear-cleaning service along the bamboo-lined banks or a look to the locals playing Mahjong or chess.

Then enjoy your free night exploring Chengdu on your own.

Catch a morning flight to fly to Lhasa. Please take a break in the hotel upon arrival and gradually get used to the high altitudes. Lhasa's altitude is around 3658 meters (12,000ft) and Potala Palace and Drepung Monastery is at a higher altitude of 3800 meters (around 12,500ft). 

Tips: You will need to show your Tibet Permit while boarding the plane. And upon arrival, please do not take a shower the first two days upon arrival, drink alcohol or smoke. Keeping warm is also important. 

Today head to the Potala Palace, highlight of Tibet. Feast your eyes with exquisite Tibetan treasures, Buddhism statues and eye-catching murals. Learn about the history of the palace and the legendary stories of the Dalai Lamas.

Afterwards, move to Jokang Temple, the holiest and most divine temple for all Tibetan Buddhist pilgrims, whom you will see prostrating or spinning prayer wheels around.

Take a stroll along Barkhor Street to see local life and get some boutique Tibetan souvenirs. 

Your exploration today starts with a visit to the Norblingka which used to serve as summer palace for Dalai Lamas. Stroll in the beautiful gardens, appreciating various plants and grand Tibetan architectures.

Then proceed to the Drepung Monastery, a large complex of constructions built along the slope of the mountain and you will find out the reason why it is named Drepung.

Discover the cosmopolitan Shanghai from Yu Garden whose classic Chinese landscape designs present the philosophy of Chinese people's life.
